Why Choose Liberal Studies – Ukiah?

Your Experience Matters.

Returning to college doesn't mean starting over.

The knowledge, skills, and experiences you've gained through work, family, and life bring valuable perspectives to the classroom.

In Liberal Studies – Ukiah, you'll build on those experiences while exploring subjects across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.

You'll strengthen your ability to think critically, communicate effectively, solve problems, and understand the world from different perspectives.

You're not starting from scratch. You're building on everything you've already learned.

A Supportive Community of Adult Learners.

Going back to school can feel intimidating, especially when you've been away from the classroom for a while.

The Liberal Studies – Ukiah Program offers a supportive learning environment where students can connect with faculty and classmates, share experiences, and encourage one another.

You'll have opportunities to participate in meaningful discussions, explore new ideas, and learn alongside others who bring different perspectives and life experiences.

You don't have to navigate your educational journey alone.

One Degree. Many Career Possibilities.

Earning your bachelor's degree can open the door to new opportunities, whether you're hoping to advance in your current profession, explore a different career, or continue your education.

A Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies provides a broad academic foundation that can support professional goals in areas such as:

  • Education and Teaching
  • Business and Management
  • Counseling and Human Services
  • Community and Nonprofit Organizations
  • Public Service and Administration
  • Law and Legal Studies
  • Graduate and Professional Education

Some careers require additional credentials, licenses, or graduate education, but a Liberal Studies degree can help prepare you for the next step.

Your future doesn't have to look like your past. New opportunities are possible.

Learn Something New. Discover What's Next.

One of the greatest benefits of Liberal Studies is the opportunity to explore a wide range of subjects.

Instead of focusing on just one discipline, you'll examine connections among history, literature, science, culture, society, and other areas of knowledge.

The program also offers flexibility to explore additional academic interests through approved coursework.

Whether you're pursuing professional growth or simply love learning, your education can help you discover new possibilities.
