Jeannie Thompson
About
Jeannine's arrival in Berkeley coincided with the headiest moments of the '60s. A Colorado girl who never lost the stamp of rural Western straightforwardness and competence, she had breezed through undergraduate studies at Boulder and took on UCB's German Language and Literature department with characteristic method and determination. In 1972, Jeannine joined the Hutchins School faculty at Sonoma State University and was a professor and Hutchins Provost at the time of her death.
