Ready to apply? Once you have reviewed the admissions requirements, apply online at Cal State Apply. Please Note: The Cal State Apply application system works best when using the Google Chrome web browser.
- In CSU Apply, indicate on your Sonoma State application that you would like:
- Liberal Studies -- General (for Track I and Track II majors),
- Liberal Studies Hutchins - Blended Elem. Teacher Ed + Credential (Track III).
Are you a transfer student?
- In CSU Apply, indicate on your Sonoma State application that you would like
- Liberal Studies -- General (for Track I and Track II majors),
- Liberal Studies Hutchins - Blended Elem. Teacher Ed + Credential (Track III).
- Complete basic CSU transfer requirements: 60 CSU transferable units. Complete GE Area A1 Oral communication (Speech), GE Area A2 Written Communication (English Composition), A3 Critical Thinking and B4 Math completed with a C- or better.
- Transfer students applying to the Track III Blended program must have completed an AAT-Elementary Education or 60 units of relevant teacher preparation coursework and maintain a 3.0 GPA for admission to the EDMS credential program during their first year at SSU. Track III Blended transfer cohorts start in their pathway in the fall semester.
Are you a current SSU Student?
- Any SSU student can major in our programs!
- Math 150 or 150B is recommended for GE area B4 if you will be an elementary teacher preparation major.
- Complete change of major form online.
- Current SSU applicants can join Track I Interdisciplinary Studies or Track II Elementary Teacher Preparation Pre-Credential major concentrations at anytime.
- Contact the Hutchins Department if you are interested in the Track III Blended LIBS BA + Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Program to find out if you have taken the appropriate coursework to be able to join this intensive, accelerated pathway.
